RCC Vision Statement

  • Evangelise the City.

We have a passion to share the great truth of Jesus Christ with our city. We believe God has called us to have a city-wide focus.

  • Satisfying the needs of the poor and disadvantaged.

We believe we are called to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the poor and disadvantaged.

  • Build People to Maturity in Christ.

Becoming a Christian is only the beginning. "We want to help each other grow in our relationship with God."

  • Impact the Nations.

God loves everyone - from every race, nation and people-group on earth. We aim to spread God's good news by sending people to, and supporting people in, different countries around the world.

RCC Youth Community

Intermediate - High School - Young Adult

Comm

Riccarton Community Church is committed to building and supporting the young people of our community, each of whom can make a difference in their generation, through their choices, words, and acts of service. With God's help, we can grow into all of our potential - with plenty of chances along the way to do what we can!

Within the Riccarton youth community, we have a range of programmes serving three age groups; Intermediate (year 7 & 8), High School (years 9 to 13) and young adults/ tertiary students. Within each of these age groups, we see a whole range of opportunities to connect with young people. Much of what we do is in partnership with the Community Development Network Trust (CDN) , who run camps for kids and teenagers in our local community, as well as Affinity Child and Family Services Trust who run the Unleashed Kids Club, and the programmes run within the church community for our young people and their friends. These groups include LOUD for year 7 and 8 young people; Centrestage for high schoolers and COMM for tertiary students and young workers. To check out any of these, click on the links or check out Church Ministries.

Central to the purpose of Riccarton Community Church is our vision to evangelise the city, satisfy the needs of the poor and disadvantaged, build people to maturity in Christ, and impact the nations. This vision is integrated into, and flows through, RCC youth, with young people sharing their faith with friends, serving their community, growing together as disciples of Christ, and supporting and participating in local and overseas missions. After all who is 'the church', if not us?

If you're new to RCC and want to be part of this crew but are not too sure where to start, have a look out for Mark Wells to find out more of what goes on with our RCC Youth.

23 On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him. 24 Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised, 25 and his son Ishmael was thirteen; 26 Abraham and his son Ishmael were both circumcised on that same day. 27 And every male in Abraham's household, including those born in his household or bought from a foreigner, was circumcised with him.
