RCC Youth Community
Intermediate - High School - Young Adult
Riccarton Community Church is committed to building and supporting the young people of our community, each of whom can make a difference in their generation, through their choices, words, and acts of service. With God's help, we can grow into all of our potential - with plenty of chances along the way to do what we can!
Within the Riccarton youth community, we have a range of programmes serving three age groups; Intermediate (year 7 & 8), High School (years 9 to 13) and young adults/ tertiary students. Within each of these age groups, we see a whole range of opportunities to connect with young people. Much of what we do is in partnership with the Community Development Network Trust (CDN) , who run camps for kids and teenagers in our local community, as well as Affinity Child and Family Services Trust who run the Unleashed Kids Club, and the programmes run within the church community for our young people and their friends. These groups include LOUD for year 7 and 8 young people; Centrestage for high schoolers and COMM for tertiary students and young workers. Central to the purpose of Riccarton Community Church is our vision to evangelise the city, satisfy the needs of the poor and disadvantaged, build people to maturity in Christ, and impact the nations. This vision is integrated into, and flows through, RCC youth, with young people sharing their faith with friends, serving their community, growing together as disciples of Christ, and supporting and participating in local and overseas missions. After all who is 'the church', if not us?
