RCC Vision Statement

  • Evangelise the City.

We have a passion to share the great truth of Jesus Christ with our city. We believe God has called us to have a city-wide focus.

  • Satisfying the needs of the poor and disadvantaged.

We believe we are called to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the poor and disadvantaged.

  • Build People to Maturity in Christ.

Becoming a Christian is only the beginning. "We want to help each other grow in our relationship with God."

  • Impact the Nations.

God loves everyone - from every race, nation and people-group on earth. We aim to spread God's good news by sending people to, and supporting people in, different countries around the world.

RCC's high school aged youth group

Is there more to life than exams, text messages, X-Box and hanging out at the Mall? You bet! High school is a time of life when we have more freedom to engage with the world around us than any other - a chance to experience, serve, question, learn and grow; to figure out who we are, who God is, and what He put us here for.

Centrestage serves young people in years 9 to 13, meeting weekly on a Friday night throughout school terms, and includes young people from many of the high schools throughout Christchurch.

Throughout the year, we enjoy a selection of crazy events and activities combined with relevant life teaching and Biblical truth - you are never too young to crack open the word of God. We really want to engage with what God says, and so we focus on learning together, not ending discussion with a Bible verse, but exploring a range of points of view, so that all of us can participate. Most of our study topics are generated by the youth group, to keep things as relevant as we can!

Along with our own programme , we get involved in combined events with local churches, and regional events like Eastercamp.
